The First Methodist Church of Greensboro-Lake Oconee is the only church in Greene County with a worship location in both the northern and southern parts of the county. We have a modern and traditional worship service at our Lake Oconee Campus, and a 11am traditional service at our Downtown Greensboro campus.

Worship Online

We will hold live worship online here each Sunday at 9 a.m.

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir leads worship and provides special music for both of our traditional services on Sunday morning. The Chancel Choir is open to all High School seniors and Adults and meets on Wednesday from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m.

Easter Music Rehearsal: Wednesdays from 6:oo p.m. to 6:45 p.m. (January-March)

Sunday Worship Music Rehearsal: 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (January-March)

Adult Handbells

Our adult handbell choir is open to both members of our church and the community. We play traditional music arranged for our full 5-octave Malmark bells and 4-octave chimes sets.

Rehearsal: Wednesdays 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. (August - June) in the sanctuary at our Lake Oconee Campus.
